Service Licenses 

Item Service Fee Amount (OMR)
1 Studying the application to obtain a license for the provision of postal and related services. Omani Riyal 500
2 A license to provide postal and related services.
License fee :
  • 7,500 Omani Riyal, or
  • 2,500 Omani Riyal if the company is registered with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority. The fee is collected upon licensing and renewal (every five years).
Annual fee :
  • 10% of the total annual revenue of the postal services provider with a minimum of 5,000 Omani Riyal , with the exception of the revenues generated from the international mail received in the Sultanate, or
  • 500 Omani Riyal (for the first 5 years of licensing) for companies registered with the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority.
  • The annual fee shall be paid before the end of January of the following year, the final fee that is due annually shall be be settled on the basis of the audited accounts before the end of April of each year.

Provision of Postal and Related Services In execution of the Postal Service Regulatory Law No. 71/2012 and its Executive Regulation No.89/2013, article (15): “It is not permissible to provide pay postal or related services without obtaining a license from the Authority pursuant to the provisions of this the Act”.
In light of this, the TRA has prepared the license application form Request for issuance or renewal to provide postal and related services, thus, companies wishing to obtain a license to provide postal and related services must submit the license application according to the form with all the required documents detailed in the form.

Establish a New Post Branch If the licensee wishes to establish a new branch and expand its activity to provide postal and related services, they are required to fill in the form Apply
