Termination rates are the charges which one telecommunications operator charges to another for terminating calls on its network. Termination may take place in a fixed or mobile network. For example, a customer of X-operator network wishes to call a customer in a Y-operator mobile network. The X-operator will charge the customer a fee per minute (the retail charge) for this call. The Y-operator will charge X-operator a fee per minute also for terminating the call on its network. This termination rate therefore forms part of X-operator’s cost of providing the call to its customer.
Cost based LRIC models are being used to determine the termination rate of fixed and mobile networks, determination on termination in line with other dispute determinations are demonstrated below as following:

Carrier Selection (CS) is a service that allows the beneficiary to select an alternative operator on a call-to-call basis. For carrying beneficiary international calls, the beneficiary will be capable to select the operator for carrying his call. By dialing the prefix code of the chosen operator and the call will be routed through the selected operator.
