08, 2020 - The Réseaux IP Européens Network Coordination
Centre (RIPE NCC) and the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority (TRA) in Oman recently
joined forces to host a three-day training workshop as part of their
collaboration on capacity development.
Held
in Oman’s capital city from March 2-4, 2020, the event was organised to build
the capacities of local stakeholders and assist them in the development of the Internet
in the country. Local Internet Registries (LIRs), the RIPE Database, and the
fundamentals of Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) were the three main training
courses.

Training workshop on the Internet of Things (IoT)
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), in
cooperation with Cavli Wireless yesterday organized a training workshop on IoT
that was attended by trainees from fifteen different entities from both the
public and private sectors.

TRA signs Memorandum of Cooperation with Competition Protection and Monopoly Prevention Center
The
Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) signed yesterday a Memorandum of
Cooperation with the Competition Protection and Monopoly Prevention
Center (CMC) to boost joint cooperation between them and to exchange data and
resources in the telecommunications sector. The Memo was signed on behalf of
