Training workshop on the Internet of Things (IoT)
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA), in
cooperation with Cavli Wireless yesterday organized a training workshop on IoT
that was attended by trainees from fifteen different entities from both the
public and private sectors.
The workshop discussed the technologies of building IoT
hardware that include the communication protocols and the programming and
installation of communication units in the IoT devices and its simulation.
The workshop was held in
line with the role played by TRA towards the adoption of new technologies and
services in the Omani telecommunications sector, and embracing an appropriate
regulatory position that is conducive to support the assimilation of IoT.
