Public Consultation on IoT Security Regulatory framework and Standards
Introduction
Acknowledging the increasing use of IoT technologies in key sectors as well as by consumers in the Sultanate of Oman, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) created the IoT Security Regulatory framework which showcases the TRA’s vision towards a more secure national IoT ecosystem. In line with this strategy, the TRA issued IoT Security Standard after deliberation of the local ICT landscape as well as a thorough study of various national and international IoT security standards, cybersecurity frameworks, laws and regulatory requirements, and global best practices.
TRA invite all interested parties to participate by providing written remarks and opinions on the proposed framework and to answer the listed
