About the Consultation:

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has prepared a draft regulation on the procedures for considering and deciding on violations, that is concerned with reviewing the current procedures followed in considering and reconciling the violations committed in both the telecommunications and postal regulatory sectors. The Authority would like to announce the launch of a public consultation document on the Regulation, and invites all interested parties to participate and submit their comments and opinions on the contents of the consultation document.


The objectives of the regulatory framework:

  • simplifying procedures and ensuring speeding up the settlement of violations.
  • Unifying the procedures for considering and deciding on violations and complaints.
  • Granting additional facilities for the execution of decisions.

In an effort to regulate operations and activities related to international communication cables, as well as to centralize the issuance of permits and necessary approvals for conducting these activities, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority has developed the regulatory framework for international telecommunication cables in coordination with relevant government entities. This initiative aims to keep pace with the rapid developments in the telecommunications sector and meet market requirements to support the national economy. Therefore, the authority invites everyone to participate and provide their feedback and comments on the consultation document through the link below.
